Stephen Shelesky is a commercial and outdoors photographer specializing in authentic, adventure-led storytelling. He works alongside athletes in challenging environments, creating imagery shaped by endurance, identity, and the landscapes they move through. Stephen is best as an observer - happy to be in the flow himself, highly detailed-oriented and someone who claims to love structure but reliably thrives in chaos.
Raised in Virginia, Stephen got his first taste of the mountains when he traveled west to Colorado, but it was in Jackson, Wyoming, where things really clicked. There he fell in with a crowd of skiers who, conveniently, loved being photographed.
After a brief “I’m going to re-invent myself and move to LA” detour, he remembered he’s happiest near that mountains and landed in Salt Lake City.
